A Word in Season: Your Head Impacts Your Heart

Do you, at times, find that it is a struggle to serve God with your entire being (spirit, soul and body) the way you desire?  Have you experienced that, no matter how hard you want to give God all of you: time, talent and treasure (money), you somehow fall short of your true desire to wholeheartedly worship Him?  Here is one reason for that:  As it goes with your head, so it will be with your heart!

You must continually guard the things you allow into your mind. What your mind records affects your heart's ability to be wholly devoted to God.  Notice, what the Apostle Paul said,

"And the very God of peace SANCTIFY YOU WHOLLY; and I pray God your WHOLE spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."  1 Thessalonians 5:23

Paul realized that God desires all of you.  So, your spirit, soul and body must be sanctified (set apart) to God.  When you permit what is pure, lovely, good, true and worthy of discussion into your mind (Phillipians 4:8), then your heart is strengthened with things that are like God's very own nature.  Consequently, you will find yourself responding more and more by loving God to your fullest extent:  spirt, soul and body!

REMEMBER: "...the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint." Isaiah 1:5

Much love to you!
